Everyone Loves To Travel, Not Everyone Has Time...

Hey I dare you to keep reading,

My name is Patterson and I am one of the adult organizer's going on this trip to Peru.

Let me tell you why I am excited about this trip. In 2002 my father killed my mother and my grandmother! The sweeping sadness of no longer having a family consumed my being to depths I still have not traveled to. Foster youth constantly recognize when people go but how they left always stays. Without the comfort and security of family, my safe place was always determined by people who only knew my name because of a case file. A social worker stating "you will live with this family... you will live in this home... time to move" yet never asked me where I wanted to travel. Today, with the Foster Youth Cultural Exchange I was able to choose where I wanted to go, and that is Peru, with some of the amazing young people you will get to read about as the post start to surface from their hearts. These young people have similar experiences to mine both in beauty and in struggle, I dare you to keep reading with an open heart to learn about who we are and where we choose to travel. Everyone loves to travel, not everyone has time.

Travel with our group to Peru, through reading this blog and by supporting us with encouragement, love and of course donations. You will learn more about that later. Hasta Luego!
